Alex Edmison, along with his seven-person strong Urban Retail Team, specializes in the sale and leasing of high street retail and mixed-use properties in Downtown Toronto. Over his 14-year career at CBRE, Alex has leased over 3 million SF of space for a total consideration in excess of $1.2 billion and has sold over $300 million worth of properties. Most recently, as a key member of the Urban Retail Team Alex won the 2020 Hutcheson National Top Team Award for the Top Sales and Leasing in Canada.

Toronto is one of the most active development markets in North America. As the city continues to intensify, Alex and the team have emerged as industry leaders in curating and leasing large mixed-use projects. Notable assignments that Alex and his team are currently working on include the retail component of The Well, the 3.1 million SF retail/office/residential redevelopment located at Front & Spadina, and Mirvish Village, a 1.1 million SF residential/retail redevelopment of the historic corner of Bloor & Bathurst.

Alex joined CBRE in 2006 and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen’s University. Some notable transactions completed by Alex and his team include:
